AKSTS CIS

The Association of Korean scientific and technical societies of CIS (AKSTS CIS) was founded in 1991 and was originally named “Inter-republican association of Soviet Koreans.” It was renamed after the USSR collapse. AKSTS joins scientific Korean Diasporas of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirghizia, and Ukraine. The Russian scientific technical society is formed of scientists of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Voronezh, Omsk, Vladivostok.

AKSTS is included in the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) having its headquarter in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. Besides AKSTS, KOFST has in its structure the scientific technical societies of the USA, Canada, Germany, France, England, China, Japan and Austria, that is 11 counties together with Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Since 2001 AKSTS is divided into two sections – Central-Asian, combining Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kirghizia, and European. AKSTS central office inheres in Moscow. Professor Tsoi Alexey Danilovich is the President of AKSTS CIS.

AKSTS CIS is a nonprofit organization, which was created to support its members in achieving social, cultural, charity, educational, professional, scientific and administrative objects, ecclesiastical and other non-material needs, defense of rights and legitimate interests, solution of controversies and conflicts, providing juridical support and other objects, directed to achieving social blessings.
